Why Kano State Hisbah Is Hunting For Some Tiktok Celebrities In The State.

Kano State Hisbah Board has confirmed that the board is looking for six popular Tiktok users in the state, for promoting immorality in some of their videos, an offence that is considered by the board as punishable by the State laws.

The Chairman of the board, Sheikh Aminu Daurawa has confirmed to BBC that the people the board is looking for in connection with the offences are; Abubakar Ibrahim (aka Gfresh), Sadiya Haruna, Ashiru Idris (aka Maiwushirya), Ummee Shakira, Murja Ibrahim Kunya and one Hassan Makeup.

Sheikh Daurawa has said the board is searching for the people following the release of a video that went viral, in which the offenders made immoral utterances, utterances that has breached the promises made by the offenders after their first arrests by the board to warned them.

He said the biggest will of the board is to make sure amendments has been made by offenders. We don't want to keep summoning people for breaching the morality laws. May be, our action now will make them understand that they are on the wrong side for breaching our agreements with them.

The Sheikh has said, since this invitation is the  second of its kind, if they appear before the board, we will warn them for the second time, and we shall engage them to write formal undertaking.

He said his board arraign offenders in the court after three engagement for such kinds of offences.

"We are not taking them to court now. One have to breach three agreements before we arrign him/her. If they come, we'll asked them the reason why they breached the agreements we have reached with them, just to give them a fair hearing" Daurawa has said.
